Solitude Outfitters and Guides (CO Outfitters License .0003416) is a small local Steamboat Springs operation run by people who like to hunt as much or more than our clients. Our ranches are managed for low pressure elk,mule deer, and antelope habitat, and our animal numbers consistently remain high throughout the hunting seasons.
Our goal is to keep our clients safe while providing an authentic western hunting experience.
Elk Hunting
Hunting elk is one of the most challenging hunts in North America and is on the bucket lists of many hunters worldwide. Calling in and getting close to a bugling bull elk is considered by those in the know as one of the most exciting moments in outdoor sports.
Mule Deer Hunting
Hunting mule deer is arguably one of the greatest sight and stalk hunts that exists. Big mule deer bucks are crafty, and can frustrate experienced hunters. Locating and getting in range of a big mule deer buck is difficult and a lot of things have to go right for it to happen.
Antelope Hunting
Pronghorn hunting presents a very different challenge than hunting animals in timbered mountain terrain. These hunts take place in wide open country where visibility stretches for miles, cover is minimal, and the animals rely heavily on their eyesight to detect danger.
